About the Founder
Hi, I’m Maryna — a Ukrainian baker, a mom, and the hands behind every dessert at Mini Lu.
I started baking here in the U.S. late at night, when the house was quiet and I needed something of my own. That first Easter, just weeks after we arrived, I baked Ukrainian Easter cake (paska) for my family — and for my brother’s family, who we were living with then. They encouraged me to share it. One post turned into orders, and orders turned into stories.
Again and again, I heard the same words:
“This tastes like home.”
That’s what I’ve come to believe: taste holds memory.
And through every Mini Lu dessert, I offer people a way to feel close to what they miss most.
I bake everything the way I would for my own family — fresh, by hand, and with care you can feel. Even the simple decorations with berries became part of our story — just because I didn’t know the professional way. And it turns out, people love it just the way it is.

2. Send Your Request
Fill out the order form or DM us on Instagram. Book your preferred date on our website, share what you’d like, and any design ideas.
3. Confirm & Pay
Once we confirm availability, you’ll receive your total and payment options. A deposit may be required for large or custom orders.

We currently do not have a physical storefront, so pick-up is not available at this time.

I asked Maryna to do something special for my wife’s birthday and she went so far above and beyond to create something truly wonderful and delicious for my entire family to enjoy! I will definitely order from her again very soon!!!
My daughter and I met Maryna at the Apex Love Local Showcase and tried some of her delicious treats, in a sample box she created. My daughter tried carrot cake for the first time and said, "Well I guess I like carrot cake now!". She's been asking for the cookies that were in the box as well. You can tell that Maryna puts so much love into the pasties and cakes she bakes. She's one of the best and we can't wait to try more!
We absolutely loved the Ukrainian Horisky treats and carrrot cake! Can't wait to try some of the other desserts and pies soon!
Maryna did a spectacular job on our wedding cake. She assembled it on site and the guests loved watching her presentation. Even more, they enjoyed tasting the final creation. The cake was delicious. I would heartily recommend Minilu Bakery for a fun and delicious experience.
